On Sunday, Stuart Milk, nephew of LGBTQ civil rights icon Harvey Milk, thanked volunteers at the Jacksonville Hillary for America office for making calls and knocking on doors in support of pro-equality candidates up and down the ballot.
“It’s essential that we continue to make our voices heard,” he said. “As we as a community fight for basic workplace protections, and ensuring that marriage equality and adoptions rights are not rolled back…Hillary Clinton will be a president who gives everyone a seat at the table – regardless of race, religion, gender, or sexual orientation.”
Florida was the closest battleground state in the 2012 election and we expect it to be just as close this time around. We need everyone to get involved today and every day up until November 8. Your work is going to determine not only who the next president of the U.S. will be, but also what kind of country we will be.
Every phone call you make, every volunteer you recruit, every supporter you register to vote gets us that much closer to making sure Hillary Clinton is elected as our next President. This election is just too important to sit on the sidelines.
